Fostering resilience is our passion
We're driven to help create the space and deliver the kick-start you may need to discover or rediscover what makes you tick and move even more effortlessly along your chosen path.
We achieve results supporting individuals, community leaders, local councils, government agencies, collectives, communities, small and big business. Where appropriate we incorporate tools including mindmaps, low power information technology, resilient portable renewable energy kits to power mobile information management tools like eReaders, PDAs, iPads and Fujitsu Tablet PCs. These tools are being prepared to assist in community support around Fuel Security and Food Security including programs like Victorian Bushfire Recovery, a Resilient Oil-free Meals on Wheels Service, Home Care (which relies on Meals On Wheels visits in some municipalities) and Emergency and Crisis Management.
- Services and Tools for Mindfulness
- Compostable Take Away Beverage Cups - did you know that most take away cups - including paper cups - are not recyclable? This is due to a plastic coating that makes the paper waterproof. A few products are available that use a plant-based plastic lid and waterproof lining that will decompose normally in a commercial composting facility. So, drink-in, bring your own cup, or choose a caring cafe that stocks compostable cups. Don't forget to compost your cup though - rather than tossing it into the garbage.
- Reusable Take Away Beverage Cups - there are a number of lightweight, durable, reusable coffee/tea cups on the market to help eliminate the cost, wasted paper, plastic, oil and embodied water associated with single-use disposable cups. Add to the feel-good factor of your afternoon coffee habit knowing you're making a real difference to your environmental impact.
- Mindmapping - a great way to capture and visualise information. Brainstorming with a tool like iThoughts on an iPad is a stunning way to collect information at meetings, forums, community consultations and to explore complex topics. Through The Moving Media Project we employ free tools like Freeplane (a much improved fork of the FreeMind project) to present and analyse information in the fields of local council community inclusion and resilience-building.
- PersonalBrain - organise your thoughts, see new relationships between the information you're passionate about. PersonalBrain is similar to a mind-mapping tool, going way beyond the limitations of a traditional mind-map.
